近日，《金融时报》（Financial Times）旗下杂志《外国直接投资》（FDI Magazine）公布了《美国未来城市》（“American Cities of the Future 2017/18”）的榜单，奥兰多再次获得殊荣且多个领域位居前十名，其人力资本和生活方式指数排在全美第二位，外国直接投资指数排在全美第三位，城市互联指数排在全美第八位。
“过去十多年以来，奥兰多地区培养出大量的专业人才，也是一个非常适合企业生根和发展的城市”，奥兰多经济合作机构（Orlando Economic Partnership）总裁兼首席执行官蒂姆·朱利亚尼（Tim Giuliani）表示，“我们已经对文化和娱乐产业进行了战略性投资，同时也大力推进基础设施项目的投资”。
奥兰多是多家国际公司的所在地，其中的许多国际公司还选择该地区作为其美国总部，包括：
比利时微电子研究中心（IMEC），这是一家世界领先的纳米电子技术研究中心，在奥兰多地区建立了其位于美国的首个设计中心。法国泰雷兹集团（Thales），一家专注于开发飞行娱乐系统的公司，在中佛罗里达大学和研究园附近的模拟训练基地拥有数百名的高科技人员。
